“Global is back! Global is really, really back!” declared Global’s Carlos Guisso, who is also one of the Azkals-Global Football Academy coaches.

Global Smartmatic is now 8 points, with two games in hand, behind top ranking Air Force Rider, which leads the league with 23 points following their defeat of Navy last Wednesday. Although without a loss, Global has settled for three consecutive draws against Army, Air Force Rider, and Loyola Meralco, respectively. All games yielded one goal for each team.

Their last three games’ results were a big disappointment to the players, especially Ayi Nii who expressed strong opinions about how the team performed in their past games. The Big Boss simply and honestly called the results, “bad.”

Global Smartmatic had a long rest since their last game on April 17 and they should deliver good results. “They’re really waiting for something to come up,” Misagh Bahadoran assured their fans.

“We gotta bounce back,” Dan Palami promised.

Global Smartmatic will play against Navy FC on Sunday, May 8, in UMak Football Field at 4PM.
